Mersey Ferries

Pier Head and Seacome Terminals

No visit to Liverpool would be complete without a trip across the Mersey via the most famous ferry service in the world. The Liverpool Ferry service is today over 800 hundred years old (the oldest in Europe), but is still going strong today regardless of technology and the Mersey tunnel.

Mersey Ferry

The service was made 'really' famous by Jerry Marsden and his song 'Ferry Across the Mersey' which can still be heard today at the Ferry Terminal. Mersey Ferries also runs an Aquarium and a kids play area based at the Seacome terminal, as well as a restaurant and a gift shop so why not make a day of it.
