Ness Botanic Gardens

Ness, Neston, South Wirral, L64 - Junction 4

Ness Botanic Gardens should, in my opinion, be visited by everyone young and old. Only on visiting the site will you truly understand the amount of work that has been put into this work of natural art (well almost natural). The gardens are mostly dedicated to the introduction of overseas plants with a lot of these coming from the far-east. Liverpool cotton merchant Arthur Kilpin Bulley started the gardens back in 1898, which today is one of the UK's finest.

Today the gardens are lovingly looked after by Liverpool University who also use the gardens for research and teaching. An excellent educational and visual day out - well if you like plants that is!
