Every kids favourite and probably mine too! Everyone loves a funfair and a good day out at the seaside, and that's exactly what Southport provides. As well as being the proud owner of about 4 miles of clean yellow sand, a huge funfair and some of the prettiest views in the UK, Southport is home to one of the most exclusive shopping centres in the NW, a magnificant park, and a huge brand new leisure pool.
As well as the above you'll find a host of bars, pubs and night-clubs so the day doesn't have to end at 5pm. A lot of the hotel pubs allow kids in so you won't have to worry about baby-sitters (though some place do offer the service).
You'll probably need a whole weekend to explore this great northern seaside town and if you don't enjoy yourself in good old Southport you'll never enjoy yourself.
