Museum of Liverpool Life

Pier Head, Liverpool City Centre

This museum is different to the region's others in that it represents Merseyside as it is today 'and' in the past. The museum opened in 1993, which I personally remember with pride due to the fact that I helped wire the building's electrical installations. Regardless of my past exploits, the museum consists of a full multimedia environment in which you can actively take part.

Museum of Liverpool Life

The collections in the museum celebrate Merseyside's contribution to culture in Britain and the world. The museum represents not just Merseyside's glory but also its dark past. This aids in its excellent representation of the area and also gives its people the opportunity to reflect and look to the future.

Presentations include: Mersey Culture, a tribute to Liverpool's vibrancy; Liverpool bands juke box; Liverpool Football Club history; Tribute to the Grand National horse racing event; Liverpool docks and its people; Industry in the region; Film & Television in Merseyside; and of course - The Beatles.

Opening Times: Monday - Saturday 10.00 - 17.00 and Sunday 12 noon - 17.00.
